THISTLE v. PETONE.
Ac Petone, Thistle and Petone played a drawn game, each side registering a goal. The latter were reinforced by players from. H.M.S. Chatham. Throughout play was of an even nature, and the scores represented the relative merits of the teams. Petone scored in the opening spell, while Thistle's goal came in the second half. Boadle and Priddie were the pick of the Petone backs, and Thistle found sound men in Taylor and M'Arthur. In the forward divisions Kerriek and Newlands (Petone) and Hendrick and Hanston (Thistle) were the star performers. Mr. R. Lithgow was referee.
