DIAMONDS v. SWIFTS.
Weather conditions afc Association Park were none too favourable when Diamond?. met Swifts in the senior cup competition. A strong cross-wind was blowing, and interfered with the game considerably. Diamonds had the best of the game—what there was of it—and kept play well up to their opponents' goal, but the latter strongly contested the match, a-nd -were all but successful in scoring on several occasions through individual efforta. In the first spell, OrundvoU (inside left) and Kinnear
(centre forward) shot goals for Diamonds, and early in tho second half, ono of the Swift men had the misfortune to score against his own side. For Swifts, ] F. Guise, Reid (centre forward), and E. Guise (left-wing), were prominent, while for Diamonds, Crundwoll and Kinnear were always well to the front. Mr. F. j Campbell was referee. j
