LIEUT BENNETT'S FUNERAL
BODY LANDED AT MELBOURNE.

MELBOURNE, 16th June.
There was an impressive scene on the arrival at Melbourne of the Large Bay with the body of Lieutenant Bennett, who was killed at Bropklands when Sir Ross Smith's aeroplane crashed. As the vessel was moored the crew lined tho d«cks in man-o'-war style, and others sliips in port paid homage to the dead airman, while tho wharf labourers ceased work, and raised their hats as the red ensign was run up to half-mast. Alii traffic on the waterfront was. suspetodied as the coffin was borne to Parliament House, where the body will lie in state ■unjjil to-day.
