INTERCESSORY SERVICE
The weekly intercessory service held in the Concert Chamber at midday yesterday was attended by a large and representative gathering. s?A. fitting spirit of devotion and worship characterised the proceedings, which were presided over by Mr. J. W- Henderson. Prayers were offered by the Rev. F. 1. Read and Messrs. R. L. Button and E. E. Pennington. The Scripture readings were as follow : Psalm 145 by the chairman, Hebrews 2 by Mr. R. Tail; junr., and Isaiah 40 by Mr. J. L. Hay. Several hymns were heartily sung to the accompaniment of Mr. C. Colling at the piano.
