looao play in a forward rush. A few minutes later Gell (S.W.) saved a hot shot from Boadle, but was unable to recover himself, and Ingram scored with an open goal. .Petone returned to the attack, and, after fast and open play, Boadle registered another1 point for the suburban team. South Wellington endeavoured to draw even, but though they opened well, their efforts were unsuccessful,, and half time was called, with the score 2-1 in favour of Petone. Shortly after the opening- of the second spell, the Petone forwards, in a combined attack, carried the ball the full length of the field, Boadle searing with ease. The South Wellington team then took a hand in the game, and Robinson, from a run from halfway, brought the score to 3-2. A little later Knapp equalised the score.
