A SERIOUS CHARGE
; An old man named Wflliam James Panting, 62 years of age, appeared before Mr. F. X: .Hunt, S.M., at the' Magistrate's Court to-day, and was charged with having indecently assaulted a female, on 28th February, last. On the application: of Chief DotectivoKemp, remand until 15th March vai granted. The accused had been arrested this,morning by Constable Ambrose. Mr. P. -W.- Jaokson 1 represented Panting, and applied for bail, which was fixed at £250, or two sureties of £125 each. ' '
