CASUALTIES IN BELFAST.

LONDON, 6th March. At Swirieford, in Mayo, a disguised man entered the home of Sergeant O'Dowd, who was .sitting with'tis wife at the.fireside. The intruder; fired, at O'Dowd and the latter's wife sprung up and held a chair between her husband and the intruder. . The latter fired through the chair, and then shot Mrs. O'Dowd, piercing a lung. Two other shots struck the husband. Mrs. O'Dowd is in a critical condition and her husband's condition is serious, but he is expected to recover. • .
Three men entered the Belfast Cooperative Society's premises in Fallsroad, arid ordered a -vanman named* Kidd to go outside, Kidd refused, and' was shot and loft dying;. The week-end casualties in Belfast, were two killed and twenty-five wounded.
Owen Hughes, who ■ was shot dead in a tram passing the sniping area, in Belfast, was deliberately murdered. His assailants escaped from tha tram in the confusion.
