The annual picnic of the Internal Affairs and Native Departments was held at Day's Bay in ideal weather. Hamilton 2. 75yds (ladies)", Miss O'Connell 1, Miss Johnston 2. Half-mile Relay Race, Census Office A and Laboratory, dead heat, 1. Potato Race, Miss Johnston 1, 'Miss Barrett 2. Putting the Shot, G. Burton 1, H. Smith 2. Half-mile Walk, S. G. M'lntosh 1, R. W. Fenton 2. Ladies' Relay Race, Census A 1, Census B 2. 220 yds (men), G. Burton 1, R. Connop 2. Ladies 1 Walk, Miss E. Smith 1, Miss Coad 2. - Half-mile (men), J. Griffen 1, Wood 2. A Yankee tennis tournament was won by Miss Jackson and Morrison. An enjoyable day was well finished with a dance in the -navilion.
