RECIPROCAL TARIFF
MINISTER TO VISIT AUSTRALIA.
So far there has been no detailed statement made as to the progress of the negotiations between New Zealand and Australia in connection with tariff questions. Cablegrams have been passing, but the Christmas vacation made it impossible for either Cabinet to go very thoroughly into the matter. Now, however, it is announced that the Minister of Customs (the Hon. W. Downie Stewart) will visit the Commonwealth during the recess for the purpose of going into the details of a tariff treaty. .
