The Daily, Chronicle's Paris correspondent says M. Poincare asked'Mr. Lloyd George to convert the proposed Pact into a military alliance for the execution of the Versailles Treaty, but Mr. Lloyd George \ replied firmly that no British Government could go beyond the Cannes proposals.
