The Appeal Court at Naples has finally settled litigation which has lasted for five centuries and involved interests to the value of £207,000,000,000. Early in the fifteenth century the Emperor Charles V. gave Hector Bothen, his chief Master of Horse, iron mines, watercourses and forests spread over a large part of Calabria. Bothen's - heirs have been seeking confirmation of these rights, which were confiscated in the sixteenth century. The Appeal Conrt ha s confirmed the confiscation.
