MANAGEMENT COMMITTEE MEETING. .

The Management Committee of the Wellington Cricket Association met last evening, those present being: Messrs. C. G. Wilson (chairman), W. G. Hughes, B. L. Salmon, P. Fulton, W. A. Baker, and J. Reid. i ■ ■ . A deputation from the Boys' Cricket League, comprising Messrs. H. H. Spolsky, G. Hay don, and C. "It. Collins, waited on the committee with a request for a donation to the league. It was decided to make a grant of £5 5s to the league. The Otagc Cricket Association wrote suggesting that the fixture between the southern province and Wellington should be played at Wellington on 6th, 7th, and 9th January. The team would arrive irom Auckland on 4th January. . In a letter to the association the secretary (Mr. R. S. Johnston), who had left on a visit to Dunedin, suggested that the senior match likely to provide the- best contest each Saturday should _be played on the Basin Reserve, and that the association should make a, charge for admission, as by not doing so it was. losing at least £10 each Saturday.—lt was decided to make a charge, commencing with the Midland v. Wellington match in the fourth round, and commencing on 26th November. The question of a competition to decide the premier club in all grades for the season was discussed, and the following motion by Mr. Hughes, seconded by Mr. Baker, was carried :—"That in addition to the ordinary championship a club championship be instituted, to be awarded to the club having the highest aggregate of points for matches won in all competitions, points to be as follow: Senior, multiplied by ♦; junior, multiplied by 3;. third grade, multiplied by 1; fourth (trade, divided by 2. Points deducted for matches lost shall not be taken into consideration in computing points for the club championship." ' Senior fixtures for Saturday next were drawn as follow:—Thorndon v. Old Boys, at Anderson Park; Midland v. T.M.C.A., at Basin Reserve; Petone t. Hutt, at Petone: Wellington v. Institute, at Kel: burn Park.
