Strawberries were selling in Auckland on Monday at from Is 3d to Is 6d a box, consequent upon the delivery ,of the iargest quantity received this season. Monday's deliveries from the North Shore were, in fact, double those of Saturday (says the New Zealand Herald). Prices, also, have fallen very materially and suddenly, as 2s 2d was obtained oa Saturday. Prices are already lower than those prevailing at this' time last year, and the large supplies yet to come warrant the belief that prices should, on the average, be considerably lower than last year. The quality of the strawberries is particularly good,- and many of the boxea selling at Is 6d comprised berries of a very Targe size and richness of colour. - The Artillery Band will pl»y »eleaJr*f y at Newcown Park to-night
