PERSONAL MAGNETISM
Mr. Vivian H. K. Deicon had a large audience on Wednesday to listen to his lecturo upon the subject of " Personal Magnetism." He said that personal magnetism was the quality in man which attracted the interest, confidence, • friendship, and love of mankind. It was a good wish to doeire to attract others, and most of his hearers would revnoiaber how, when young, their elders had pointed out.to us the great and influential men and women of the world as examples worthy to be followed. It was not always the most learned individual who achieved succes in life, but suocess more often was the reward meted out to the person who possessed the more magnetic and attractive, personality. It was possible to ascertain the characteristics of the magnetic individual and to deliberately kuild them into one's makeup. The best methods for developing a .magnetic personality are to combine regular physical' training with periods of meditation upon the ideals we wish to realise. Jesus Christ 'gave us the keynote of personal magnetism when He said, in answer to the question, " 'When should men pray?" "Moil ought always to pray." Mr. Deacon was accorded a, hearty vote of thanks.
