SYMPATHY.

WASHINGTON, 23rd August. It is understood that President Harding, has informed .Mr. Gompers (president of the American Federation of Labour) that he cordially believes that Labour should be represented in connection with the Armament Conference,, as far as possible, but the delegates will be chosen for other qualities than group representation. No decision has been reached yet whether women shall git in the conference. The United States is now considering with other Governments the question, of the size of the various delegations.
