GIRLS' DAY IN WELLINGTON
Friday, 19th A'uguat, is to be Girl's Day >■> in,.Wellington, and the Y.W.C.A. is hold- :- ing a street day in order to raiee funds \ to help their work among the business,:, girls and women of Wellington. There • will be four stalls, and a general re- ■ ceiving depot at Boulcott-street. Attractive home-made cafcea will be found at the D.I.C. stall, and' sweets in plenty at a stand by the Bank of New Zealand. At Kolburn-avenue there will be a blaze of ; colour and much fragrance from theflower stall, while at Courtenay-pla'ce there will be a general /stall with a. bran- \ tub for children and many other attractions. The interest and help_ of the public are solicited that this effort may be a success. The valuable work dono by' the Y.W.C.A. in Wellington is so ,well laiown that it makes its own appeal.
