NEW ZEALAND COMEDY FILM
Something novel in. the way of film production is' promised Wellington pic-ture-lovers shortly, - when-a New Zea-land-made comedy, " Stranded." featuring New Zealand's "Fatty" Arbuckle, will be screened. The picture is said to strike something new and big in picture-making, and its season, will be anticipated with ; keenest expectation. A competition is beipg arranged in connection with the production, the management asking for entries from young ladies^ of 18 to 25 years of age (six are required), to be •> known as the Fern Comedy Kids; the entrants must be good swimmers and have a knowledge of dancing, and the six who'! get the highest number of votes, the public being the judges, will be given a part in the next Fern comedy, to be made shortly. Young ladies who aspire to film fame, and have the necessary qualifications, should communicate with the secretary of the Fern Comedy Company,care of the Fox Film .
