DONATIONS TO "DATE.
Following are the donations to date to the Technical College Building Fund : T. Ballbger £104, Blundell Bros. £100, J. S. Swan £100, W. Gray Young £100, J. H. Howell £100, Murphy Bros. £65, Sir 1 Francis Bell £50,. Mr. C. Smith £50, T. Ballinger and Co. £50, A. S. Paterson and Co £50, A. de B. Brandon £25, W. A. Chote £25, W. H. Bennett £25, E. Bell £25, A. J. W. Dutch £20, M. Carr £10 10s, W. M. Bannatyne £10 10s, F. Cooper, Ltd., £10 10s. These, with some smaller amounts, which will be; published later, bring up the total .to ' £940 of the £6000 required to complete the north-west wing. ' . ' ■ ■:..■■ ■ Daily canvasses are being made by members of the committee. An appeal for such an'object is rare in .Wellington/ arid the' committee' turns to the generosity of the people with full confidence that they will provided the , necessary money to complete this urgent work. One old pupil has generously come forward with a cheque in appreciation of the benefits he derived from the Technicnl ; School. The committee especially appeals to all old students to follow his example. Mr. G. Mitchell returned to Wellington from the South yesterday, and resumed the duties of hon. secretary to this fund to-day. All communications should bo sent to him, care Progress League's Office.
