OPPOSITION CONFERENCE
EASTERN SOVIET INTERESTS. (PUIU3HED IN IRI TIMES.) (Received August 16, 2 p.m.*) ® LONDON, 15th August. The Riga correspondent of the Times reports that Moscow papers^ state thatthe Soviet is considering the summoning of a conference of the Chinese, Mongolian, and Far East Soviet Republics, in opposition to the Washington Conference, with the object of defending their common interests against the predatory Imperialism of Japan, America, England, and France. The conference will discuss questions of Customs and transport tariffs, trade, river shipping, and the handing over of the Chinese Eastern Railway to China.
