MAKARA COUNTY
STRIKING OF T^E RATES,
The Makara County Council met .yesterday, when the following general rates were struck:— '
Porirua riding, 1 19-32 din the £; Makara Riding, l£d in the &. These rates are for the period Ist April, 1921, to 31st March, 1922, and are,to be payable in one sum on 16th September: So much as is required of each of the annual recurring special rates levied on the basis of capital value of all rateable property within Nos. 2, 3, and 4 special rating districts to provide for the annual charges on loans is now due 'and payable. \
The council decided to pay 7 per cent, on "the overdraft in accordance with the permission of the Minister of Finance.
