The Fanners' Conference resolved in favour of the division of the present unwieldy States into smaller areas and dispensing with Hie present expensive, non-efficient system of State Govern-, ment, and against making: the High Commissionership a refuge for worn-out politicians. \ The farmere' ballot -decided in favour of a, pool against an open -wheat market
