TRIAL REP. GAMES.
The trial game, played at Kilbirnie yesterday between teams representing ( the town primary schools and the schools : of the Hutt Valley, resulted in a win for the town boys by ll points to nil. The purpose of the game was to. give the selectors an opportunity of making the final selection of twenty boys, to go on tour to Wanganui next month. This selection is not yet complete, however, ' and the selectors (Messrs. W. Olson, M. O'Connor, and C. Robertson) are desirous of seeipg the boys in action, again before announcing the names of the boys chosen. ' The following boys are to go tfe Lower Hutt by the 2.10 train from Lambton Station to-morrow :—Harris, Nicholls, Callaghan, Fordham, Best, M'Leod, Simmonds, Paternoster, De Sousa, O'Donnell, Mahoney, Turloy, Barrett, Cookson, Milne, Richards, and Mailman. The secretary (Mr. E. C. Feltham) announces that the travelling expenses of the players will be refunded to them later. The boys will be required to send their statements .of'these expenses, as from yesterday, to the secretary, through their sportmasters. •;
