SNOOKER TOURNEY.
The final match in the Working Meril^ Club snooker -tournament ■ was played between T. Willmdt - and -T. Holt,>the former winning after three keenly-contested games'.' The winner holds the ■■ Harold .Brown Shield for twelve months. The retiring president, Mr. T. Nprris, presented on behalf of several enthusiasts a gold medal to .the winner, Mr. Willmot, a cue' and case to the runner-up, Mr. Holt, and a special prize, a wallet, to Mr. Tapp, who made the highest break in the tournament.
