JASCHA HEIFETZ.

The coming-visit of Jascha Heifelz, the genius of the violin, is creating interest in local musical circles. He is to give three concerts in the Town Hall next week, commencing on Wednesday, 17th August. The successes recorded by Heifetz in Europe, America, and London have been chronicled by the press throughout the world. _ Writing of on* of his recent appearances in Sydney, the musical critic of the Daily Telegraph says:—"The audience that greeted Heifetz on Saturday night at the Town Hall overflowed into the choir seats, and packed themselves even under the galleries flanking the concert platform. It was the largest gathering yet assembled in the Town Hall, and never has there been greater enthusiasm. It was a triumph, and at the close of the concert, the- audience was tremendously worked up and cheered Heifetz with amazing vigour." The box plans for the, three Wellington concerts are now open at the Bristol.
