SENIOR CHAMPIONSHIP
AWARDED TO PONEKE.
The position of the senior championship was outlined last night" by the chairman of the Rugby Union, who pointed out that tho number' of matches played this season \»as one in excess of those played l;ast year. ' Poneke were now leading by two points, and it had been intended a,U along to complete the championship on the 6th August. It was decided that the senior competition be closed and that >Poneke bs awarded the championship.
