The value of a eource from whioh to obtain information of storms, that might happen along these shores, was brought home, to a number of fishermen during the we<ik-ehd. Some who took the precaution to communicate with the Meteorological office by long-distance telephone, acted oh tjie advice they received from this quarter] and saved'their nets (others have suffered loss' through another 6evere southerly, and will no doubt in future, follow the examplo of their, wise competitors whose pence for » telephone call saved them pounds. , , .',, ,'.'.,'.,,.
