SANGUINE OF FINAL' SUCCESS
BOLSHEVIK OFFER OF TROOPS
DECLINED.
(UNITED PRESS ASBOCIAIIOH.—COHRIMT.) ' (REUIIR'S TILIBRAK.)
) (Received August 8, noon.) CONSTANTINOPLE, 7th \ August.
The Kemalists are removing from Angora to Cesarea the archives.and ernment stores preparatory to evacuation. It seems improbable, therefore, that the Nationalists will make a last stand west of Angora, Mustapha' KetnalV policy being to preserve the vtufy:'' as much as possible while reckoning that the further the Greeks advance the more they will weaken themselves. The people of Angora were panic-i stricken by the 'p-lans of the retirement and the Greek aerial bombardments,, but the authorities are said to be sanguine of final success. They have declined a Bolshevik offer to send, reinforcements at present, saying that they would take advantage of the offer if things went, badly. ;: /.-'" ' . '
