JASCHA HEIFETZ.

Jascha Heifetz's visit to New Zealand is to be a brief one. Only three concerts can be given -in , Wellington Town Hall, beginning on'"'' the 17th. His was not uncontrollable frenzy I(! to practice; it was sober, . well-judged', and symmetrical in tone and design. Scales in double harmonics, tenths, octaves, and single harmonies were executed with dazzling ease. In a little over an hour's time he was back at the ' bridge table. This happened each day until Australia was reached. Box plans, for the three Wellington concerts will be opened at the Bristol to-morrow (Tuesday) morning.
