RAISED TO THE PRIESTHOOD
There wae a specially large congregation at St. Joseph's Church, Buckle-street, yesterday morning, when two deacons were raised to the Priesthood by his Graco Archbishop O'Shea.: Th(h candidates were the Rev Arthur M'Rae* (of Holy Cross College, Mosgiel) and the Rev. Bernard Chapman (of Greenmeadows Seminary, Napier). There was a large number of priests in the sanctuary, and the service was a most impressive one.' Father M'Rao proceeds to the Washington Catholic University. 8.C., to complete his studies, while Father Chapman will go to Romp for tho same purpese. Both priests will bo thus engaged for two years. Father Chapman will be accompanied by the Rev. Father H. O'Neill, of Dunedin, who has just been ordained, and the Rev. Father Kasmussen, both of whom are also going to complete their studies.
