MAINTENANCE CASES
The sittings of the Magistrate's Court to-day were presided over by Mr. F. K. Hunt, S.M. ■_ . ' Fov the disofiedience of a maintenance order, the arrears on which amounted to £42 3s 3d, Joseph Thomas Stewart Barker was sentenced to a month's imprisonment, the warrant to be suspended so lonpf as 19s per week is paid. Cecil Glen Alec Rossiter, whose 1 arrears on a maintenance order amounted to £5 10s, was sentenced to a month's imprisonment for not complying with the terms of the order, the warrant to be suspended provided defendant pays 15s per week.
Thomas Edward Austin was charged witli disobeying the terms of a mamtenT since order, the arrears on which totalled £12, and he was sentenced to two months' imprisonment, the warrant to be suspended so long as 40s per week is paid. .
Edward Beckett was ordered to pay 20s per week towards the maintenance of his wife, Sarah Beckett.
