At the Police Court this morning, Joseph Smith plijaded guilty to nine charges of theft of sums totalling £102, moneys received on account ofi the Farmers' Trading Company, while accused was managing a store at Torere. He was committed to the Supreme Court. Bail was allowed, accused in £200 and one surety of £200. Bail was forthcoming.
