FLIGHT TO NEW ZEALAND

GISBORNE, This Day. Mr. Wilson, who asked to be allowed to accompany Lieutenant Briggs on his proposed flight from Australia to New Zealand, has received the following reply: "So sorry, going solo; fuel takes other accommodation." Mr. W. D. Lysnar, M.P., has telegraphed to tho Minister of Defence, saying: "Wilson is again cabling Briggs, giving his flying weight as nine stone six, and is urging Briggs to allow him to accompany him, if only as companion. Could you see your way to supplement Wilson's further rotiuost! It might help the position..."
