BOXING
The committee of the loca.l Boxing Association met-last evening. Mr.'B.'W. M'yilly preside^. The secretary submitted a list of entries for next week's amateur championships, and the draw for the first series was made. With the-record number of entries received, close on. twenty contests will need t<> be decided, on the opening night, and it was decided to start at 7.30 p.m. instead of 8 o'clock. Mr. Earl Stewart was appointed rofar.'o'foi Monday, and Mr. Allan Maxwell for Tuesday. Messrs. 1 Staples and Woods will act as judges, fajd will also select the team, which leaves on the following Monday in charge of Mr. E. A. Dawson, to represent Wellington at Greymouth. Future contests, wero discussed,' and a contest between Dwyer and Williams was agreed upon. .
