fUJTR. C. B. NORWOOD. ItXr. 0. B. NORWOOD. Mr. 0. B. Norwood is an Australian by birth. He arrived in New Zealand twenty-two . years ago, and made hi» home in Wellington, where he has lived over since. Shortly after his arrival he joined the staff of the Wellington Ga« Company, in a minor capacity, and very soon succeeded to a position of importance. He became a member of the company's managerial staff, in which potir won he was for many years well known to the public. Mr. Norwood retired from the Gas Company some years back, took up oornmer cial pursuits, and has since been identified with the directorates of several Wellington trading concerns. Among his °'vi er ts' nem interests, he was responsible for commencing and developing what is probably at present ono of the three largest wholesale motor trading concerns in New Zealand. He has taken a considerable interest m industrial matters, and is a good president of the Wellington Industrial Asro?i °Sf i, e-ia also a s'ttin £ member of the Wellington Harbour Board. Four years ago he was elected a member of the Wellington City Council, and in addition to the ordinary committee work Ot the council he was appointed by that body chairman of a committee Bet up to inquire into the milk question. Eventually this led to the establishment of the present City Milk Department. This Department was established and has been managed Bince by a committee under tho Chairmanship of Mr. Norwood.
