SENSATION IN PERSIA
ARREST OF POWERFUL PRINCE,

(AUSTRALIAN • NBW ZEALAND CAILE ASSOCIATION.) DELHI, 15th April. The Persian Government^ has arrested Prince Sahararf ed Dowleh/ 1 Governor of Kermanshah, one of the authors of the Anglo-Persian agreement, who is accused of-large misappropriations publio money. Six were killed during the arrest. The prisoner was, conveyed to Teheran.
The arrest of such a powerful personage indicates the strength that the new regime is rapidly acquiring in the provinces.
