Limited, report having received the following caiblecram from, their London house, under date of the sth insta-nt:— " Wool sales closed at highest point of series, firm. 5200 bales of free wool were offered, including 1800 bales of Cape and 1000 bales of Punta Arenas. About 72 per cent, of the offering was sold. Continental buyers are the'prmcipal operators; English buyers are buying very little. As compared with last sales closing rates, merino combing, fine greasy S to lOiper cent, lower; Merino wools of other descriptions, greasy 20 per cent, lower, scoured 20 per cent, lower; crossbred wools, fine and* medium quality 10 -er cent, lower; crossbred wools, coarse, were neglected."
