HOSPITAL COMMISSION
Consequent upon his appointment as * Minister of the Crown, the Hon. Downi« Stewart is unable to act as Chairman of the Hospital Commission appointed recently to inquire into the question of Government subsidies to hospital boards and other important matters. , The commission was to have commenced its sittings on.'Bth March, but as it is without a chairman, and as Parliament is to meet on 10th March, the sittings have been postponed. The Minister of Health is now selecting another member for the commission, but as there will be no opportunity of bringing down amending legislation until the House meets in September or October, it is not anticipated that the matter will be treated as urgent /
