MARTENS' DEPORTATION
WASHINGTON, 26th February. The United States Labour Department has announced the cancellation of the order for the deportation of Sir. J. C. Martens (Soviet "Ambassador"), who has already reached Russia. It is stated 1 that the cancellation is merely a mattter of courtesy; it does-not permit him to return.
The Senate has passed a resolution asking Mr. Palmer whether the cancellation of the Martens deportation order is justified.
