WAIWETU CLUB.

The Waiwetu Golf Club committee's report to the annual meeting last week stated that the 1920 season had boen a successful one, a considerable addition having been made to tho golfing strength of the club. The club championship was won by H. W. H. Gwilliam and tho ladies' championship by Miss L. Walters; the Atkins challenge cup competition by H. W. H. Gwilliam; the president's prize by Miss L. Walters and G. Cook; monthly buttons by G. Cook (3), Mrs. Whitehead (1), Miss Arrowsmifch (1), and Miss Walters (1), and the silver ball competition by G. Cook.

Officers were elected for the ensuing 63aeon as follow:—President, Mr. R. , C. Kirk; captain, Mr. G. Cook: hon. sec. and treasurer, Mr. W. Whitehead; committeo, Messrs. A. J. Hobba, H. W. H. Gwilliam,- Thomas, D. Jamieson, and Misses L. Walters and A. E. Gaynor; auditor, Mr. L. Townsond. The committee anticipates an increased membership and a Very successful season. The greens and fairway are now receiving attention, to have tho course in good order for tho opening day.
