At) a. meeting of the Otaki Ratepayers' Association last, night, it was- decided to support the present Town Board Commissioners for the coming borough elections, and to nominat-e Mr. Harold Taylor for the vacancy caused by the retirement of Mr. H. Nicoleon. Mr. Brandon (Chairman of the Town Board) regretted (that Mr. Nicolson was ineligiWe owing to being now manager of a miwepaper, the Otaki Mail. *Mr. Brandon spoke very , highly of Mr. Nicolson ne a- commiwioner. A warm rote of thanks was accorded Mr. Nicolson for his past services. . It was also decided to nominate Mr. Brandon for the position of mayor, the motion be- . ing put amidst applause. At the annual meeting of the Otaki Bulb Society last night, Mr. J. P. Brandon was re-elected president, and Mw. Swaboy ami Bless". H. Small and H. Witchell vice-prceidenU. Mr. S.
