BIG SHIP.QUESTION NOT SETTLED,
LONDON, 21st January. The Daily Mirror states that the_ subcommittee of Imperial Defence continues to discuss the question of big warships, but whatever decision is reached the naval programme'; will be submitted to the Imperial Conference. , The paper adds: "If Australia wants big ships in the Pacific, perhaps she will be prepared to- pay for them." *• ;
The Morning Post says it is untrue that any decision has been reached as regards the utility of big vessels.
