LONDON, 20th January. The Times, in a leader, states : — "There is 110 difficulty in seeing why Ma-. Churchill is going to the Colonial Office. For many years the Colonial Office has offered doors of oppoi-tunity to 'British statesmen. Few had the imagination to open them. There .is ample scope for Mr. Churchill's energy, enterprise, and imagination, all of. which are qualities rated high in • the Dominions if the heart is right. Mr. Churchill's mistakes will b© forgiven, for the Dominions prefer energy and impetuosity to a dead hand, but the Minister should know more of the Dominions." The article concludes by suggesting 1 that the. Minister should make- flying visits.
