VICTORIAN SENATOR'S DEATH

Guthrie». as the result of injuries caused by being knocked down by a. tram in the city. A\ memorial service was-held in the Queen's Hall, Parliament House, prior to the body being sent to Adelaide. [Senator Robert 'Storrie Guthrie: was born in Ayrshire, Scotland, in 1857. Ho spent many years at sea, and was prominently identified with all. matters' relating to the advancement of the interests of seamen, whose cause he' ably championed. Ho was a member of the South Australian Legislative Council for Central .District from 1891 to 1903, and had been Senator for South Australia in the Commonwealth Parliament since December, 1903.] • .
