GO-SLOW IN MINES
REDUCTION IN WAIKATO TONNAGE. ■ jr ' (BT TBLEGEAPH.—FREES ASSOCUTIOS.) AUCKLAND, 20th January. The actual loss in totfhase oauaed in' the Waikato this week by the "go-slow" policy is difficult to determine. It approximates 30 per cent, of the usual output. The Taupiri mines'have lost something like 300 tons daily. Their normal production is. 1000 tons a day, and Pulcemiro, which usually produces an average of 480 tons per day, lost 250 tons on -.Monday, 130 on Tuesday, and 160 yesterday. The heavier loss on Monday 16 accounted for by the "stop-work" meeting held by 'the men. Deliveries to ( local agents from the Waipa mines were substantially short on Monday, but for Tuesday and yesterday they were somewhat improved, though they were not up to' normal bulk.
