RESULT OF AN INQUEST

At an adjourned inquest to-day on Mrs. 1 -Elizabeth-'.Hesketh, 'drowned' .on 3rd January^ as the result of a motor'bu^s going over a bridge into the .Karamu\ Creek, the Coroner, -reviewing the testimony, said the evidence went in the direction of showing that all due care had been taken. Edna' Hart, aged fourteen, had behaved very creditably in rescuing 3! baby, and, returning into the water, rescuing two other children. She was a brave girl and was to'be commended for her action. Aljfative, P. H. Tomoaha, whOjUndressed and entered the river to assist, was also to be commended. A verdict was returned, that death was due to drowning, caused by 1 the 'bus ( accidentally falling into the river owing to blocking of the steering gear. A ...... . \
