POVERTY BAY ASSOCIATION.

GISBOBNE, 18th January. At a meeting ' of. the Poverty Bay Cricket Association, a- telegram was received from the Wairarapa Executive stating that it would'be unable to get a team to visit Gisborne this vteek, as arranged,' to play the Hawks Cup fixture, and asking for a postponement till the s.ame days next week. It was resolved to telegraph the Wairarapa Association that if the original dates were not adhered to Manawatu would have first claim.
The association expressed dissatisfaction that the- New Zealand Council had failed to include Poverty Bay in the tour of the Australian team. It was decided to write to the council to that effect,-'" and ask that an endeajvour be made tin arrangt a match before the Australian, tour concluded.
