V AUCKLAND,/ijSth January. A miraculous escape from serious injury took place .yesterday, forenoon, when a party of Aucklandors motoring from Cornwallis to New. Lynn, w;ero ;thrown over a cliff. The ear-wiis being .driven by the owner, Mr.; Arthur Tnode, of Messrs. Thbde 13r65., ; :wh0 had been holi-day-making at Cornwallis, and was returning home. ' . Shortly after setting out, the vehicle got out of control, and before anything: could be .done it dashed over a high cliff at the side of the road. The cat turned three somersaults bofores crashing to , tho ground below, and- Mr. Thcdo and his two companions, Messrs. Frank..Needhara aria Hunter, were hurled intoi-.the : aiv. Fortunately, all of them' fell clear of tho motor-car, which was _ wrecked ;• Nona of tho occupants had my bones broken, but all of them were, badly bruised- and suffered from shock.- They were brought to Auckland-later in the day. .:
