CENTRAL CHAMBER OF COMMERCE
A meeting of the Wellington Central Chamber of Commerce was held yesterday afternoon. Mr. A. L. Hunt presided,- and there were also present: Messrs W. D. Dobson, J. Hardie-Shaw, J L. Arcus, W. T. Cotton, C. J. Ward, H. J. S. Piekard, L. A. Edwards, and W. J.. Gaudin. It was decided to hold a general meeting of members for the purpose of discussing tho question of the revision of tho Customs tariff and setting up ii special committee. . Support was given to hie proposal of the National Defence League to establish a. Community Club' in Wellington for Territorials and Senior Cadets, and it was decided to send delegates to the general meeting to make arrangements for tho raising of funds by meana of a carnival.
