WORK OF THE V.M.C.A.
(UNITED PRESS ASSOCIATION.—COPIRIQHT.) (AWIBAU4H • NEW ZBALANB CABLE ASSOCIATION.) (Received October 9, 10 a.m.) LONDON, Bth October. The committee of the V.M.C.A. gave a luncheon to Mr. J. J. Virgo (national field secretary) after his Australasian tour. Mr. Virgo paid a tribute to the great work the association was doing in Australasia in getting hold of boy life, with splendid results in, the boy memberships secured in Sydney and Auckland. He believed the association's Empire Union would become a potent factor in binding the Empire together. What the world needed now, he said, was not a religion of technicalities. The V.M.C.A. would do its part to assist the various Churches to join into one great union.
