BASEBALL
The efforts of a number of enthusiasts tj establish the game of baseball in Wellington are meeting with success. The membership roll of the association contains many names, and the promoters have been granted the use of a portion of the Kilbirnie Park on which to hold practice games. There practices will be held every fine Saturday, and those interested in the great American game will be welcome, especially footballers who desire to keep themselves fit during the . summer months. The association aims at getting a sufficient number of "nines" • to commence a competition. A general meeting will be held this evening at 7.45 o'clock in the Y,M.C.A.
